What this site collects

ApplianceCostFinder does not require an account and does not collect personal information to show you a running cost. Like almost every website, the hosting and analytics infrastructure automatically logs standard technical data, your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit, and timestamps, for security and aggregate traffic measurement. Analytics data is aggregated and is not used to identify you individually.

Cookies

Analytics cookies may be set to distinguish repeat visits from new ones. No cookie on this site is used to build an advertising profile unless a display-advertising network is active, in which case that network's own cookie and privacy disclosures apply.

Advertising and affiliate links

ApplianceCostFinder earns money from display advertising served by Google AdSense. AdSense may use cookies to personalize the ads shown to you; see Google's own advertising and privacy policies for how that works.

Third parties

Appliance and electricity rate data are pulled from the EPA (ENERGY STAR) and EIA, both public agencies; no personal data is exchanged with them. Hosting is provided by Firebase (Google). No data collected here is sold to third parties.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, laws such as California's CCPA/CPRA and similar statutes in other states give you the right to know what personal information a site has about you, to request its deletion, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. ApplianceCostFinder does not sell or share personal information and does not knowingly collect anything beyond the standard technical logs described above. To ask what has been logged, to request deletion, or to exercise any other right you have under the law that applies to you, email hello@appliancecostfinder.com.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
